TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF CAPTIVE ELEPHANTS, THEIR CARETAKERS AND THE COMMUNITY IN WHICH THEY LIVE.
In the long term, allow as many elephants as possible to regain freedom and live the life to which they are entitled, namely an elephant life.
Our approach is progressive and ethically responsible. We use the increasing popularity of ecotourism to educate the public, specifically tourists visiting Nepal, and sensitize them to the fate of the Asian elephant. Our actions includes the working with the mahouts, who are the caretakers of the elephants they live with, and who are among the poorest in Nepalese society. It aims both to improve their living conditions and to increase their knowledge about the needs of elephants and the care they need.
By working in this way, directly with the community, we hope to bring about a gradual change in current methods and to design a future where elephants will no longer be exploited.
